POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Recruiting Intern is responsible for sourcing and screening candidates through on-line job boards, college recruiting, and referrals. The Recruiting Intern will schedule interviews with candidates and eventually conduct screening interviews. The Recruiting Intern will maintain contact with the candidate to schedule subsequent interviews. The ideal candidate is one who is willing to propose improvements and implement the suggestions accordingly. The Recruiting Intern will assist in development of resources to increase the efficiency of the overall recruiting process and of new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiting Intern will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.
Below is a detailed description of increasing responsibilities as the Recruiting Intern shows capability of performing the following tasks:
DEVELOP AND EXECUTE RECRUITING PLANS:

Develop a pool of qualified active and passive candidates in advance of need through building networks within social and professional networking organizations

Research and recommend new sources for active/passive candidate recruiting.

Navigate the Internet Recruiting Websites for both active and passive potential candidates, through job postings, blogs, and research.

Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.

Aid in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company.
COORDINATE AND IMPLEMENT COLLEGE RECRUITING INTIATIVES:

Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.

Develop working relationships within colleges with student groups, professors, athletic departments, and business schools to aid in recruiting.

Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RECORD KEEPING:

Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.

Conduct screening and selection interviews with selected qualified candidates.

Maintain all pertinent applicant data in the contact management system.

Assist in forwarding reference and background information for potential employees through the proper channels.

Write and forward rejection emails/letters.

Perform other special projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is consistent and accountable. The Recruiting Intern should be someone who takes initiative, has good phone and communication skills, and is able to make the candidates feel comfortable and excited about the company and position applied for. Additionally, the ideal candidate is able to prioritize responsibilities, maintain confidentiality, hold high moral and ethical standards, is creative, and is eager to learn. Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
The position is located in Scottsdale, AZ and requires 10-20 hours per week. Up to 6 credits can be awarded for the internship. 3.0 Minimum GPA required. Bonuses are available for performance.
