About Drew
Drew is originally from Ahwatukee, Arizona but grew up in Chandler, Arizona. After Covid-19 took place, he was really set on staying in an in-state college. Drew wanted to major in either engineering or business. He knew that ASU would be an amazing fit for him since the W. P. Carey School of Business had a great business program.
Major/Career Choice
Drew is a sophomore at Arizona State University majoring in Marketing. He mentions that he loves his major because he is "creative," "driven," and a "social extrovert," and loves that "marketing is very broad and pertains to all those qualities as well!”
Drew's Hobbies:
Outside of the American Marketing Association, Drew has many hobbies! Some of his favorite hobbies include painting in his free time, sewing and designing bags, thrifting, and going to markets!
Where Do You See Yourself in 5 Years?
In the future, Drew hopes to work for a fashion, real estate, skincare, or beverage company in their marketing department. He would love to work alongside other marketing directors for brand and product marketing.
Favorite AMA Experience So Far
Drew’s favorite experience with AMA so far is working together with the other social media directors to come up with their first social media post. Drew is one of AMA’s newest social media directors where he works with other members in creating and posting content as well as graphic designs for our speakers. We are glad to have Drew as our social media director as well as to have him in AMA!
Drew's Advice
“My best piece of advice is keeping an open mind and radically accepting anything positive or negative or just anything that comes your way. I think those two things are key to keeping yourself happy and maintaining balance in your life.”
Fun Fact
One fun fact about Drew is that he has his own small business! His company, STARSTITCH, upcycles secondhand fabrics into sustainable and stylish bags. Drew recently launched his brand and had his first drop recently that is now almost sold out! We are excited for Drew as we cannot wait to see STARSTITCH grow!
